Debt Collective 🟥 on Instagram: "Yesterday, we called MOHELA (the worst student loan servicer in the world) so they could confirm they received a fax from a member who completed the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Waiver. The member faxed it weeks ago, but if MOHELA says they “never got it,” that member would be screwed. We were on hold for 2 hours. Then 3 hours. Then 6 hours. Then 9 and a half hours before we called it a night. This is the bullsh*t millions of student loan borrowers have to go through. Nobody has time to take off an entire day of work or even a lunch break to sit on hold with a student loan servicer who can’t do their jobs. Maybe MOHELA would be able to answer the phone if they weren’t spending their time trying to go to court to prevent student debt cancelation. @POTUS should cut the government contract with this servicer. And then cancel all student debt. What could you have done in 9.5 hours? Have you ever had to wait on hold with one of these student loan servicers?
